Programs for Women

Chestnut Center offers character and Catholic faith formation to women, married or single in the Bay Area, empowering them to thrive in their family homes and careers through spiritual direction, one-on-one mentoring, recollections, retreats, and mother-daughter events.

  • Retreats

Retreats at Trumbull Manor in Novato provide an opportunity to reflect on one’s everyday life in the light of basic Christian principles. An atmosphere of personal prayer and recollection is maintained during the retreat. Learn more about it and register here.

  • Monthly Recollection

A Recollection is a time to pray and reflect on one's hopes and ambitions. A priest of Opus Dei leads the guided prayer before the Blessed Sacrament, then, a layperson gives the talk on a topic pertinent to our life of faith. Please visit this page for more details.

  • Mornings of Recollection

Chestnut Center partners with Trumbull Manor, a conference center in Novato, CA which offers spiritual retreats for women throughout the year. Each morning of recollection runs from 9:30 am to 11:45 am which includes a talk, a meditation and ends with Holy Mass. See dates here.

  • Girls' Clubs

Clubs for young girls are designed and run by women who attend Chestnut's programs. The clubs meet monthly in the Bay area during the school year. Programs include but are not limited to arts and crafts, service projects, cultural events, Mother-daughter activities, and sports.
